Adding Your RuPay Credit Card to Google Pay

Google Pay, in collaboration with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), has introduced support for RuPay credit cards on Unified Payments Interface (UPI). This means that users can now link their RuPay credit cards with Google Pay to make payments at both online and offline merchants where RuPay credit cards are accepted.

Supported Banks and Eligibility

Customers holding RuPay credit cards issued by Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, Canara Bank, HDFC Bank, Indian Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, Punjab National Bank, and Union Bank of India can take advantage of this new feature.

How to Add Your RuPay Credit Card

To link your RuPay credit card to Google Pay, follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the Google Pay app and go to the settings menu.
  2. Select the ‘Setup Payment Method’ option and choose to add a RuPay credit card.
  3. Enter the required details, including the last six digits of the card, expiry date, and PIN.
  4. Verify the details by entering the OTP (One-Time Password) sent to your registered mobile number.
  5. Once added, you can use your RuPay credit card as the payment method when making transactions with any UPI vendor. This can be done by scanning the vendor’s barcode or entering their UPI ID or phone number.

Conclusion

With the integration of RuPay credit cards into Google Pay, users now have a wider range of payment options available for their transactions. This move aims to enhance the convenience and accessibility of digital payments for users across India.
