How the Tool Works

For instance, Facebook considers factors such as users’ interactions with posts, pages liked on Facebook, content shared on Facebook and Instagram, ads clicked on, and places checked into using Facebook. This information is used to categorize users’ profiles and display relevant ads.

Users can access the “Why am I seeing this ad?” tool by clicking on the three dots located in the upper-right-hand corner of any ad on Facebook. Selecting the option reveals why the ad was targeted to them and provides insights into the factors influencing ad delivery.
Moreover, users have the option to manage their ad preferences, personalize their ad experience, and hide ads from specific advertisers through this tool.
